A standard resealable bag tape typically consists of:

Release Liner + Resealable Adhesive + PET Carrier + Permanent Adhesive

How the layers work:

The permanent adhesive side bonds the tape to the plastic bag during production.

After the bag is manufactured, the bag flap is pressed onto the resealable adhesive side to close the package. It can then be opened and resealed when needed.

The resealable adhesive side remains protected by the release liner until use. Pull the extended finger lift to remove the liner, then press the bag flap onto the adhesive area to close the bag.

A differential adhesive system is used so that the permanent side provides a secure bond while the resealable side maintains controlled peel performance.

Glue Positions Explained

Bag sealing tape can be supplied with the adhesive positioned on the left, right or center of the release liner.

Left Glue

The adhesive is applied to the left side of the release liner and remains to the left of center when the liner is peeled away.

Right Glue

The adhesive is applied to the right side of the release liner and remains to the right of center when the liner is peeled away.

Center Glue

The adhesive is applied to the center of the release liner.
