How to Apply Bag Tape

Follow these tips to ensure the best seal:

Ensure the plastic film surface is clean and dry. Do not use bags with oil stains or watermarks.

Avoid dust, oil, moisture and release agent on the bonding surfaces.

Apply tape evenly to avoid wrinkles or air bubbles.

Contact surface should overlap.

Use sufficient pressure to activate the adhesive and allow it to stick.

Make sure all air bubbles are pushed out.

Avoid touching the adhesive side during application.

Roll the sealed flap to activate the pressure-sensitive adhesive.

Wait for 24 hours before submitting the bag to further converting process. This allows the adhesive to achieve full bonding strength.

Before ordering, test the seal strength on your actual bag film.

Keep in mind that adhesion may change depending on the plastic film's formulation, surface treatment, storage condition and production environment.

How do I know my tape size?

Our bag sealing tape size is easily broken down into simple numbers.

If the tape size is 12/5/7mm, the 12mm is the total width of the tape. The 5mm and 7mm are the adhesive sizes on each side of the tape.

What roll length should I get?

Our standard roll length is 15 40 meters per roll.

We also offer a 12 50 meter version of this tape.
