How PE Resealable Bag Sealing Tape Works

The tape uses a double-sided adhesive structure.

During bag production, one side bonds to the plastic bag while the other side remains protected by a release liner.

When the end user removes the release liner and folds the bag flap over the adhesive strip, the bag can be closed without heat-sealing equipment. For resealable grades, the package can be opened and closed multiple times, making this solution suitable for retail packaging where consumers need repeated access to the product.

Center, Left or Right Glue - Which Do You Need?

The correct glue direction depends on your bag-making machine, bag flap direction and tape installation position.

Center Glue

The adhesive area is positioned around the center of the release liner. It is suitable for applications where centered installation provides easier machine alignment and balanced liner removal.

Left Glue

1. Is this the same as ordinary carton packing tape?

No. Ordinary carton sealing tape is normally a wide BOPP tape used on the outside of corrugated boxes. This product is a narrow double-sided sealing tape mainly designed to create self-sealing or resealable closures on OPP, PP and PE plastic bags.

2. What is the standard width?

The featured product is available in a 14 mm center-glue configuration. Other widths from approximately 9 mm to 18 mm are also available depending on your packaging design.

3. Can you make left-glue and right-glue tape?

Yes. Left, right and center adhesive positions can be supplied according to the bag-making machine and bag design.

4. What roll length can you supply?
