Polypropylene (OPP) sealing tape is an anti-corrosion material. Its base material is woven polypropylene fiber cloth, with butyl rubber-modified asphalt as the anti-corrosion adhesive layer. The fibrous structure of the base material effectively resists creep damage caused by soil stress. Aging tests have proven its long corrosion resistance lifespan; according to surveys of similar products abroad, its effective protection time is over 30 years.
The core manufacturing process of OPP anti-corrosion tape involves using thermal lamination technology to bond the base material and adhesive layer, followed by a release liner.
Some domestic manufacturers successfully piloted advanced foreign processes in 2002, referencing the then-current domestic anti-corrosion tape technical standard SY/T 0414-1998.
Main production equipment includes a base material calendering unit, a gluing unit, a closed-loop rubber mixing unit, a plastic extrusion unit, and a slitting unit.
