Polyethylene anti-corrosion tape consists of a base film (polyethylene film) and an adhesive layer (butyl rubber). Based on function, it can be divided into anti-corrosion tape (inner tape), protective tape (outer tape), and joint repair tape; based on anti-corrosion level, it can be divided into ordinary grade, reinforced grade, etc. According to the different product materials and anti-corrosion structures, it is also divided into composite anti-corrosion tape and polyethylene modified asphalt anti-corrosion tape.
The tape is a strip-shaped anti-corrosion material made by thermally laminating a layer of butyl rubber-based adhesive onto a polyethylene base film and co-extruding it.
To improve safety, the polyethylene base material can be modified for flame retardancy by adding composite flame retardants, ensuring that the modified mechanical properties meet the standards. The production process can employ an automated thermal lamination process control system, using a coating method to laminate the adhesive layer with polyethylene and then calendering it.
